WORK PARTY 03/02/13
Thanks SO much to everyone who came out to help with the compost-building on March 2nd. We wheelbarrowed load after load of horse manure from my neighbour Nikki's place up the road. Thanks Nikki for your generosity! At first the compost pile wasn't heating up, so Naomi layered it with fresh leafy greens and blood meal to add nitrogen. The pile is now on it's way to getting hot!
WORK PARTY 01/27/12
On January 27th, 2012 many friends and neighbours came out to help build the first shed at the farm. This shed is still the most useful building we have, thanks folks!
BUILDING THE GREENHOUSE
In August of 2012 we got a beautiful glass greenhouse. Two previous greenhouses blew down in violent storms and we had to use a neighbour's greenhouse that first Spring. Thank goodness for this new, large, SOLID one!
